Over sixteen years ago, Zoi immigrated to Canada from Venezuela to begin an exciting new journey filled with endless opportunities. Over the past nine years of living in Sudbury, she has been successful in establishing three businesses across various industries, one of which is -Teaching Salsa Lessons. She considers herself the ”Salsa Queen” of Sudbury. She is the only Salsa dancer who teaches Salsa and Bachata style dancing in the city. She empowers people through dancing because she believes no matter what age, gender or cultural background, dancing is a universal language people can share together and find their inner power to express themselves.
Here is an overview of Zois personal successes:
- She was the Dance Champion of the 2017 “Dancing with the Easter Seals Stars” Event – The event raised over $80,000.00 and all proceeds were donated to Easter Seals Sudbury, Ontario.
- She Teaches Salsa and Bachata dance classes in Sudbury since 2009 at various locations. i.e. Zen Fitness, SRO, Lockerby Legion, and Carol Richard Park Hall (Val Caron), Metamorphosis, and The Frood Hotel.
- She was a guest Salsa teacher at the Women’s Wellness Weekend at John Island Camp (YMCA) – Summer of 2011, 2013, and 2015.
- She attended the Canada Salsa Congress in Toronto in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 -Participated in various Dance workshops with some of the best Pros around the world.
Zoi is a board designated Master Practitioner of NLP and Coach, Master Hypnotist and Master Time Line Therapy® Practitioner. She will connect you to your own inner knowledge to be happy and connect to something much deeper in your life. Zoi is currently teaching Salsa classes in different studios in Sudbury in various studios as well as virtual classes using Zoom platform on Monday night and Thursday afternoon as well as taking new clients and offers coaching in English and Spanish.
Zois first dancing group Northern Latin Flavour was first performed in May 2019 at the 1st Roomba Latina in Sudbury, since then they have been performing at various event in the summer, fall and winter of 2019. Such as: Canada Day at the Sudbury Arena, Dragon boat Festival Sudbuy, Greek Festival, Sudbury Pride, Zen Fitness events, Northern Latin Congress, 1st Roomba Latina 2019, and Zigg Bar. And two Virtual events in 2020 and 2021 for Pride and Canada Day Celebrations. Northern Latin Flavour performed last summer 2022 at: Timmins Multicultural event, Cinco de Mayo Celebrations at La Casa Mexicana, Canada Day celebrations, Sudbury Greek Festival, Pride celebrations, and Zigs bar.
