I’m a passionate entrepreneur, proud mom, and community advocate with deep roots in Newmarket. Alongside my husband and business partner, we own the locally loved Ground Burger Bar, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary, and launched Ghost Taco, a fast-growing fast-casual taco franchise expanding across Ontario. I also founded Eventmrkt, Newmarket’s first boutique event venue, where we’ve helped create incredible memories for weddings, showers, fundraisers, and everything in between. I believe in building businesses that not only serve great food but also bring people together. Being part of the fabric of this community means everything to me, and I’m proud to give back to the place that’s supported us every step of the way.
Because every child deserves to feel empowered, included, and celebrated. Easter Seals does life-changing work for kids with physical disabilities, and I’m honored to step (or shimmy!) out of my comfort zone in support. As a mom, this cause resonates deeply—watching children overcome challenges with courage and joy is nothing short of inspiring. If dancing helps amplify their voices and raise vital funds, then I’m giving it everything I’ve got—rhythm or not.
Grant and I have two amazing kids—Olson, 7, who’s all about hockey and baseball, and Louie, 5, who’s already a star in the making with a big love for dance. Life is full, fast-paced, and often loud—but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. When I’m not working or cheering from the sidelines, you can usually find me dreaming up big ideas or dancing in the kitchen with my kids. Fun-fact – before this hospitality venture – I worked as an account executive in fashion wholesale for 5 years.
