Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Marissa Lauren is a Canadian based dancer and choreographer. With her extensive years of training, Marissa has performed, instructed, and choreographed throughout Ontario, Canada including Hamilton, Niagara, Mississauga, and Toronto/North York. As a professional dance instructor and choreographer, Marissa has been training since the age of three in various styles of dance including Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, Heels, and Ballet. Marissa has performed in various competitions throughout the United States and Canada and has been fortunate enough to have worked, studied, and trained with many reputable instructors and choreographers such as Jonna Abrams, Amy Adams, Kaela Faloon, and Carla Catherwood.
At the young age of 23, Marissa began her journey owning Our Haven Dance Studios and Havens Heels Company. Marissa has been able to expand her repertoire as she was hired as the head choreographer of a Burlesque/Cabaret Show across Ontario and now entering the States. She is passionate and empowers her students in finding their confidence to mold their technique and express themselves in a judgement free environment. Marissa enjoys helping others navigate through life with a positive mindset and choosing joy every step of the way. Using her love and technique of dance, combined with her infectious laughter, Marissa finds joy in inspiring and motivating others to become the best versions of themselves!
