Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Marissa Lauren is a Canadian dancer, choreographer, and confidence cultivator with a passion for movement that goes far beyond the stage. With years of training and experience, she has performed, taught, and choreographed across Ontario, from Hamilton and Niagara to Mississauga and Toronto.
At just 23, Marissa took a bold leap and founded Our Haven Dance Studios and Havens Heels Company in downtown Burlington. What started as a dream has grown into a thriving community spanning from Oakville to Stoney Creek and everywhere in between. She has also
made her mark as a sought-after head choreographer for burlesque and cabaret productions across the province.
Known for her magnetic energy and signature blend of technique and playfulness, Marissa creates spaces where confidence comes alive. She is deeply passionate about empowering others to step into their fullest expression, unapologetically and without judgment. She believes everybody deserves to feel powerful, seen, and celebrated.
Whether she’s on stage, in the studio, or supporting meaningful causes like Easter Seals, Marissa leads with heart, humour, and a belief that joy can be found in every step. Expect a little sass, a lot of laughter, and a whole lot of heart.
