Lila has always been in love with the arts. Lila was introduced to the world of dance at the age of four, growing up alongside three older sisters and her mother who shared a passion for it. Their love for dance impacted and shaped Lila’s journey, fostering a deep connection to the art from an early age. Her joy for dance, singing and acting led her to pursue a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Sheridan College, where she honed her skills and deepened her love for the performing arts. Throughout her career Lila has gotten the opportunity to work with actors such as Ron Howard, Danny DeVito, Robin Williams, Jennifer Connolly, Richard Gere and Russell Crowe. She has also trained in acting and improv at prestigious institutions like Armstrong Acting Studios, LB Acting Studio, and John Robert Powers. Currently, Lila continues to pursue her love for acting under Stars Academy Talent, with the aspiration to, one day, build a successful career as an actor.
Lila graduated dance from a prestigious dance school, Canadian Dance Company, where she now shares her passion and expertise as a teacher for the past eight-years. Growing up in the competitive dance world, Lila has won many national awards and titles in a variety of dance styles such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hiphop, Musical Theatre and Highland, across Canada and the United States. Lila has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Amy Wright, Paul Becker, Blake McGrath and Jeff Dimitriou. She loves sharing her skills and love for dance with her wonderful students, watching them grow into beautiful young dancers.
Lila has always been a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, individuals with physical disabilities, environmental matters/climate change, basic human rights, women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights. She also has a huge passion and love for animals, putting forth her best efforts to spread awareness towards ending animal captivity/abuse, endangered species, poaching, animal testing and industrial fishing. She gives back through her many charity works including Cystic Fibrosis and Canadian Cancer Society. Lila is super excited to be a part of this year’s Dancing with the Stars event in honour of Easter Seals and help raise more recognition to children, youth and young adults with physical disabilities.
