I’ve always loved working alongside charities to help those affected by hard times. I’m a big supporter of my local community, and I’ve wanted to start to reach further. I thought by getting out of my comfort zone and trying something new that I could inspire kids to do the same, but also encourage other adults to get involved too.
My parents immigrated from Holland, so I’m Dutch-Canadian. I’m the youngest of 4 kids, I have an older brother and sister, as well as a twin sister. I’m a proud dog dad to Max and Bowie. I love cooking and going to my cottage to ski doo, four-wheel, and walk my dogs.
I’m a proud member of the Bowmanville Rotary and Chamber of Newcastle, and I’ve been a long-time volunteer and supporter of Feed the Need, SickKids Foundation, and Durham Region Hospice.
At 21 and 25, I took ownership of my dad’s restaurant “Mr. Roast Beef”, and at 25 I moved to Holland to pursue a career in business overseas.
I’ve started my own real estate corporation, own many real estate investment properties, and have helped hundreds of people buy and sell their homes.
