From his roots in London, Ontario, Greg’s journey in medicine began at Western University, where he earned a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology before diving into his medical studies. After dedicating five years to specialized training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Western, he launched his clinical practice in Windsor, Ontario, in 1985.
Adventure called in 1994, taking Greg and his family to North Carolina, where his three daughters immersed themselves in competitive horse jumping and long-distance cross-country running. However, the pull of lifelong friendships and family brought them back to their true home of Windsor in 2000.
Greg’s return marked the beginning of a transformative chapter for local medical education. As an Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, he stepped up as the very first Academic Director of Undergraduate and Postgraduate training for the newly established Windsor campus—a leadership role he championed for 14 years. He later transitioned to serve as the Department Chief of OB/GYN at Windsor Regional Hospital.
After six impactful years as Chief, Greg retired from full-time clinical practice in the summer of 2024. While he still steps into the operating room to provide part-time surgical assistance, he now cherishes spending more free time with his wife, Debra, alongside mastering his golf swing and keeping up with his grandchildren’s busy lives.
