It is truly an honor to be invited to dance at the Dancing with Easter Seals Stars competition. I’m excited for this opportunity to combine my passion for dance with raising awareness and funds for Canada’s largest provider of programs and services for people affected by disabilities.
Participating in this event genuinely feels like an extension of my personal and professional life. This year, I celebrate 25 years of service as a Teacher with the Durham Catholic District School Board. Over the span of my rewarding career, I have been in the role of Classroom Teacher, Program Support Teacher and my current position, Student Services Coordinator; where I have the awesome responsibility of ensuring that students with special needs across our system have access to specialized: equipment, transportation, programs and services.
When I am not working, you’ll likely find me at the gym or in the dance studio challenging my mind and my body. I am so grateful to have the support of my husband and our two sons, my parents, siblings, extended family, friends, colleagues and local businesses cheering me on with this endeavour. I cannot wait to see you all on the dance floor!
