The why I am participating: “In December 2017, I experienced a traumatic brain injury due to a fall, and it has left me with a lasting ABI, cognition and balance issues. It’s been a long road to recovery, particularly over the last 3 years, and I feel very fortunate that I am able to say yes to this challenge and bring all my energy to the event to 1) entertain you and 2) most importantly, raise money to provide more support for the work Easter Seals does for children and youth with disabilities in our community.”
I may not know my right from my left. I didn’t have any dance skills before my accident, so I certainly don’t have any now. What I do have is a lot of gratitude for the community that has supported me over the past 7+ years, and now I feel determined to push past my own limitations. Please join Easter Seals Ontario and me to help children, youth and young adults with physical disabilities believe in their ability to achieve great things!
