Meet Anne!
For the past 34 years, Anne has served as the Executive Director of the Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation, a remarkable charity that runs three programs dedicated to supporting marginalized children and youth in the community. In addition, she is the owner, operator, and trainer at Salter Fitness. Although relatively new to dance, Anne has quickly developed a deep passion for it and enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with others. Her dance journey began in 2018 when she participated in the Easter Seals Dancing with the Stars event as a celebrity, where she was paired with Bob. Since then, they have continued dancing together. Anne also competed in the 2020 “Call Back Battle” edition.
Under Bob’s guidance, Anne has honed her skills in both Latin and ballroom dance, infusing each performance with her own distinctive flair and boundless enthusiasm. She has been dancing with Zoi Monroy and her group of Northern Latin Flavour ladies since its inception. Both Bob and Anne continue to train under the expert tutelage of Jan at Jan Fregonese’s Professional School of Dance.
Anne believes that dance has the power to bring joy to everyone, and she is passionate about helping others unlock their full potential on the dance floor. As she continues to grow in her own dance journey, Anne is dedicated to inspiring others to embrace fitness through dance and, most importantly, have fun along the way.
Meet Bob! With over 35 years of experience, he is a passionate, bronze-level certified dance instructor specializing in all ballroom styles, Latin dance, and jive. Always eager to expand his skills, he has also embraced Argentine Tango and the Country Two Step, continually striving to learn and grow in the world of dance.
Bob has been a trusted mentor to countless DWESS celebrities for over 11 years. In his role as a coach, Bob will help Anne as she works with her celebrity partner, providing them technical expertise and positive energy throughout their training. Whether perfecting footwork or enhancing stage presence, Bob’s invaluable support will ensure Anne, and her partner are ready for the spotlight. Together, Bob and Anne form a dynamic team, combining their experience and fresh perspective to inspire a love of dance within their community.
