Amy Wysocki (she/her) is a passionate, Canadian-based dance artist, with over 15 years of teaching experience and 30+ years of training and performing. Owner & Creative Director of Move With AW The Studio (@awthestudio) in Burlington, ON.
A graduate of Broadway Dance Center’s (NYC) International Student Visa Program, training in contemporary dance & working closely with mentors Cat Cogliandro and Jenn Freeman. In New York Amy had the opportunity to dance on Good Morning America for Icona Pop “I Love It” and for The Mad Stuntman “I Like To Move It”.
Other performance experiences include; Toronto Fringe Festival, Classified “Payday” music video, YogaFest Festival, Toronto Dance Teacher’s Expo, CNE Bellosound “Sketch Stage”, Dancing With Easter Seals Stars and Much Music’s Electric Circus New Years Eve Bash.
Amy co-founded the professional contemporary company, Point Of View Dance Project. The company completed two successful show runs of a full-length work, “Wireless Connection”. P.O.V. Dance Project choreographed work for Fever After Dark, The Bazaar, Toronto Fringe Festival, CNE Bellosound “Sketch Stage”, Raise The Rhythm fundraisers, and more. The company has also been featured in The Dance Current Magazine.
Amy is a certified Barre fitness instructor and longtime yoga fanatic, crediting her passion for fitness to the athletic style of her teaching and choreography. She teaches, choreographs and adjudicates across Canada, with award winning choreography and recognized students. Amy strives to continually learn as a student, in order to grow and develop as a teacher and choreographer. Leading by example through hard work and determination, Amy loves to inspire and share her passion with others in the dance and fitness community.
