Born in Toronto, Amir’s journey into the world of dance didn’t begin until he was 22, when an adventure to Guatemala introduced him to both the Spanish language and the art of salsa. With no prior dance experience, he trained intensively for three months, igniting a passion that would shape his life.
After moving to Windsor, Amir found a small yet curious dance community, and his own curiosity led him to dive even deeper into the world of Latin dance. Through consistent practice and dedication over the past eight years, Amir transformed from an eager learner into an inspiring teacher, eventually founding WinCity Salsa. His studio is a space where students of all levels can discover the beauty of salsa and bachata in a welcoming, supportive environment.
