Alison Mumford is the Executive Director of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, where she spends her days championing local businesses and creating opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, and prosper. A former business owner herself, she understands entrepreneurship from both sides of the table and is passionate about helping businesses and communities thrive. Outside the office, Ali is an avid reader, a devoted Schitt’s Creek fan, and the kind of person who’s happiest spending time outside with a strong coffee or a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. She is unapologetically optimistic, trusting that even life’s unexpected detours usually lead somewhere worthwhile.
She and her husband welcomed their first baby in 2025. Adding “mom” to her list of accomplishments has been equal parts rewarding, humbling, and exhausting. Home is also shared with nine surprisingly entertaining chickens (duly named after Schitt’s Creek characters), one quirky rooster, and a golden retriever whose enthusiasm consistently outweighs his common sense. Don’t let her warm and welcoming nature fool you; Ali has a fiercely competitive streak. Depending on the season, you’ll find her on the golf course, waterskiing, snowboarding, playing softball, or turning lawn games into competitive round-robin tournaments.
She joined Easter Seals because she believes in supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference, and because any event that combines a great cause with great music is hard to resist. If there’s a dance floor, chances are she’ll be the first one on it and one of the last to leave. Whether she’s connecting businesses, chasing after a toddler, collecting fresh eggs, or dancing barefoot to a favourite song, Ali brings curiosity, humour, and just the right amount of competitive spirit to everything she does.
