Hello! My name is Alexis Teixeira, I’m 19 years old, and I am a competitive varsity dancer, as well as a dance teacher. I dance for Northern Dance Pak, and I teach at Spotlight Dance Company, where I grew up dancing competitively. Dance has always been my passion; it allows me to tell stories and express emotions through movement.
I have chosen to become a pro for Dancing with Easter Seals Stars because it is an opportunity for me to serve my community while doing what I love most. I supply teach for two of Sudbury’s school boards, and I am often placed in special-education classrooms. These kids have such a special place in my heart, and they inspire me in so many ways. I strive to make a difference in the lives of these children, and participating in Dancing with Easter Seals Stars seemed like a great way to do so.
