Part legend; part myth, Mike “Twinkle-toes” Waddington is proud to be participating in this year’s Dancing with Easter Seals Stars. Following in the footsteps of his namesake, the great ballerino Mikhail Waddachev, he is excited to once again be dancing for the public. Classically trained in Zaouli, Mike’s desire to expand his repertoire and perfect his craft was crushed after suffering a devastating defeat during a men’s paired Polka competition with past participant Chris Emanuel.
Always knowing that one day his gift of dance would be called upon again, Mike is officially coming out of retirement to help raise funds for Easter Seals. An adrenaline junky by nature, Mike has jumped in the Arctic Ocean, flown inverted through Red Rock Canyon and spent a single harrowing term on municipal council… which few live to tell the tale. When asked how he feels leading up to this contest, he was quoted as saying, “This is the first time in my life I’ve felt real fear… but this cause is amazing, so I’m stepping up to the task.”
