Lasha Laskowsky-Reed was born and raised in Oshawa and has made it her mission to celebrate and promote everything that makes her hometown shine. She is the creator and host of the podcast “Lasha Knows Everything… And Also Nothing,” a lively weekly hangout featuring community leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs who share her love for Oshawa.
Through her role at Oshawa Tourism, Lasha helps bring visitors and residents together through major community events such as Convergence Festival, the Oshawa Santa Claus Parade of Lights, and many more. As Vice President of the Oshawa Folk Arts Council, she helps promote multiculturalism by organizing Fiesta Week, Canada’s longest-running multicultural festival.
Deeply rooted in her community, Lasha is also active in the Oshawa Ukrainian Community and has volunteered with numerous local charities and non-profit organizations. She is thrilled to be participating in Easter Seals’ Dancing with the Stars Durham Region, combining her passion for community with a cause close to her heart.
