My name is Raz Khamissa, and I have lived most of my life as a member of the Aurora Community. My wife and I are the owners of Omar’s Shoes which is a 3rd generation family business that was established in 1970. Along with running a business in Aurora and Newmarket, it has always been important to me to support our community athletics, schools, and charitable organizations.
I have had the pleasure of being involved with The Able Network for the past 16 years as a member of their board. The Able Network inspires adults with intellectual disabilities to be active, contributing to citizens through access to better living and employment.
I enjoy spending time with my wife Mae and our 3 adult children. I love to play sports including hockey and golf and always look for a new challenge.
Being involved with Dancing with Easter Seals Stars is a very exciting opportunity that will bring me out of my comfort zone. I am looking forward to supporting a great cause and giving this my best effort.
