Hey Neighbours!! My name is Lynnette Lanning, you may recognize me as the lady in yellow that shows up at events around town to take photos. In 2019 I left my career in broadcast sales and got involved with local charities. I served on the board of Abuse Hurts and from there I moved into the position of Director of Development. Community then became my passion!
In early 2022 I co-founded Neighbour Media along with my husband Jeff and Elisa and Myles Doak. I jumped at the opportunity to capture positive moments and spread good news, giving back to the community wherever possible – even though many people told us we were crazy to do a print publication…
We connect with the community monthly with the Neighbour Paper, weekly with the Neighbour Newsletter and daily through our social media platforms. We like to call this the #goodnewsmovement
Recently Neighbour Media partnered with A Million Mouthfuls Catering on a fundraiser called “Catering for a Cause” and together we raised $16,000 for 3 local charities that the community selected. The winner of the evening took home $10,000 and to spread the love, the remaining funds were divided equally between the other 2 organizations!
I’m not a dancer, but I’m excited (and nervous) to push myself out of my comfort zone. I’m up for the challenge and hope you will support me in raising much needed funds for Easter Seals. #letsdothis
