After a 20 year career as public health Epidemiologist, I turned my passion to supporting and advocating for public education. I was first elected to the Halton District School Board in 2014 and am currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. In my second term, I served as Vice Chair on HDSB’s Special Education Advisory Committee and I continue my membership on that committee as a Trustee representative. I am dedicated to supporting the academic and well-being needs of every HDSB student.
I am a mom of a university student and a step mom to two adult children with my 25th wedding anniversary around the corner. Lucky, my German shorthaired pointer and an early retirement gift that keeps on giving, claims the spot of my fur baby.
I welcome the opportunity to participate in the Dancing with the Stars charity event being inspired by the work of the Easter Seals and keen to support its mission
“to create a more inclusive and accessible society where kids with physical disabilities are valued, respected, and given the opportunities they need to succeed”.
