I have always encouraged my family and friends to stand behind those in need because together, we can make a meaningful difference. The children who benefit from Easter Seals rely on our support, and without it, many would face unnecessary challenges. That’s simply not something I can accept. Every child deserves equal opportunity, and I’m committed to making that a reality by participating in this incredible event.
I’ve been married to Sharon for many wonderful years, and we’re fortunate to have our children and their families living close by in the Barrie area. Together, we’re proud and blessed to be Grandma and Grandpa to Ava, Jack, MacKenzie, and Noah.
I was born and raised in Brantford, where I had the unique privilege of watching a talented 12-year-old boy play hockey. His name? Wayne Gretzky. You might have heard of him—he turned out to be pretty good at the game!
I am the Managing Partner of Oatley Vigmond, a well-respected and local personal injury law firm. Since 2006, my peers have consistently recognized me as one of the Best Lawyers in Canada—a distinction I’ve been honored to receive annually through 2025.
In addition to my legal practice, I’ve had the privilege of serving as an adjunct professor at Queen’s University Law School, where I developed and taught the Personal Injury Advocacy course. I’m especially proud to have received the Queen’s Law School Teaching Excellence Award twice, thanks to the incredible students I’ve had the chance to teach.
On a personal note, I’ve completed both the New York City and Toronto marathons—though I’ll admit, speed was never my strength. These days, I spend more time running after my grandchildren, which is the most rewarding race of all!
