From international competitive cycling in the seventies, ballroom dancing became a passion for me in the eighties when I began to take dance lessons from many different teachers. In the twentieth century, I started to share my knowledge with other people that were interested in the art of dancing. In the past 20 years, I have been active in organizing dance events in the Guelph community. In the early eighties, I organized a few dances I named “The no puffing dance”. To my knowledge, I am confident those were the first dances in Canada that were free from tobacco smoke.
