Why have you decided to dance for Easter Seals?
I am honoured to be a participant in this year’s dancing with the stars in support of Easter Seals, as it is an organization doing important work for extraordinary people! I am very pleased to be part of this event, being a small part of ensuring greater inclusivity so that everyone can make the most of their abilities! Now more than ever, it is important that we work collectively to provide the means by which everyone – regardless of abilities – has equal access to all that life has to offer.
On a personal note, I’m an ex-Irish dancer that loves to perform! I’ve been a background “actor/dancer” in a few operas for the Canadian Opera Company and have loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to learn some fabulous new moves courtesy of the fantastic team at Artistica!
Family Life & Interesting Facts
My family immigrated to Canada from Ireland when I was a small child. We embraced all things Canadian, including a wild variety of Canadian flag clothing (embarrassing photos available upon request!). My mum did her very best (despite never even having seen snow before!) to teach us how to ice skate so we’d fit in with the other kids … I still remember those hilarious lessons. So proud to be a Canadian!
